Meet our 2024-2025 Board of Directors:

 

Sarah Andrus, MS, RD, LDN

President 

I am excited and honored to serve as President this year. Our profession is in an exciting chapter where policy and advocacy work is gaining more traction and the public's interest in nutrition continues to grow. There is still much work to be done to elevate our profession and the importance of nutrition credentialing. I hope to advance this work over the next couple years alongside the rest of our hardworking board members. 

 

Robert Dunn, RD, LDN, CNSC

President-Elect

I'm so excited to be taking on the role of President-Elect, and look forward to working with the rest of the Board to represent the diverse interests of MAND members. In my day job, I manage teams of dietitians who care for patients in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. I am interested in malnutrition care, nutrition support, and efforts to maintain lean mass through periods of illness. In addition to my role with MAND, I serve on the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition’s Malnutrition Committee as well as the Quality and Education Task Force for CDR.
 



Sangeeta Pradhan, M. Ed, RD, LDN, CDES

Immediate Past President

Fiscal 23-24 was an amazing year for MAND as we witnessed the strengthening of strategic alliances with our legislative leadership at Beacon Hill, championing initiatives that put RDs front and center in the healthcare crisis, and so much more! There is strength in unity so if we want to continue to forge ahead without breaking stride, we must all work shoulder to shoulder, speak with one voice to continue to enhance the RD brand and support President Sarah Andrus, as she carries the torch forward! It’s an incredible honor to serve you all, and I look forward to another exhilarating year at MAND!


Dana Fryer, MS, RD, CNSC

Secretary

In the role of secretary, my goal is to assist the board by providing clear communication and accurate documentation of our meetings. Through this role I hope to also strengthen the community within MAND by closely working with and being a resource to the different board positions within MAND.

 

Victoria Fabbo, MPH, RDN, LDN

Secretary-Elect

I am excited and honored to serve as Secretary- Elect this year. I am a trained chef/ baker who enjoys educating others on nutritious meals to suit their needs. I hope to continue to educate others that food can taste Fabulous and be nutritious. I hope to continue to educate the public on different cuisines in a fun and meaningful way.

 


Kristin Otto, MS, RD, LDN

Treasurer

As the treasurer, I look forward to utilizing my business/accounting background to help optimize spend for MAND events and initiatives. I hope this will help to strengthen and maintain the organization. Positioning MAND to financially thrive so members can obtain the most benefit for years to come is something I would love to accomplish.

Inna Kagan, MS, RD, LDN

Director of Education

 

In my role as Director of Education, I help plan educational events for Massachusetts RDs alongside the rest of the Education Committee, as well as serving as Speaker Co-Chair for ANCE 2025. I will also bridge communication between MAND and CDR with the new CEU approval requirements for all educational events. 

 

Stella Uzogara, PhD, CFS, RDN, LDN, FAND

Director-Elect of Education

As the incoming Director-elect of Education at MAND, Stella hopes to bring her scientific and professional expertise to collaborate and support the current Director of Education in providing educational/ professional development to MAND membership and to effectively serve the communities of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Stella is excited to be part of the current MAND BOD.

 

Allie Wardwell, RD, LDN

Director of Member Communications/Public Relations

Alexandra Wardwell is a Clinical Dietitian at Milford Regional Medical Center. She started her career as a campus dietitian, later transitioning into acute care and has devoted her practice to community hospitals for the last five years. She believes that dietetics is one of the most invaluable areas of healthcare and is passionate about fostering patient empowerment through food and nutrition. Her areas of interest are nutrition support, critical care, and patient education. She is a graduate of Syracuse University and completed her Dietetic Internship through Russell Sage College, where she discovered her fervor for clinical nutrition. Outside of her career, she dedicates most of her time to raising her two young children, who are quickly blossoming into science-loving foodies themselves.

Kim Sabada, MD, RD, LDN, CDCES

Director of Technology 

I am very excited to take on the role of director of technology this year.  I look forward to my ongoing work with MAND and in keeping the MAND website up to date, keeping dietitians informed and active within the community. 

 


Jessica Seltz, MS, RD, LDN, CNSC 

Outgoing Director of Technology

As the outgoing director of technology I will work to keep the website up to date and informative in order to best support the MAND community. I look forward to working with the board of directors this year and supporting all my fellow RDs!

 

Sarah Karp, MNSP, RD, LDN

Director State Policy Representative

As the State Policy Representative, my goal is to help advance nutrition and dietetic-related policies in the Massachusetts legislature to best support our profession and organizational goals. I hope to have a progressive impact as a voice for dietitians and by emphasizing the importance of passing legislation related to food, nutrition, and dietetics.

 

Camille Finn

Director-Elect State Policy Representative

Camille is an active member of the MAND Public Policy Panel and acts as a liaison between MAND and the Massachusetts Board of Dietitians and Nutritionists. She is excited to continue her work as the CPC this year, providing valuable resources and information on consumer protection and licensure.

Lily Lichtenstein-Swain, MS, RD

Director-Elect Socials for Success

Lily is a clinical dietitian at Tufts Medical Center. Outside of nutrition, she is passionate about being active doing any and all outdoor activities. She is excited to bring her energy and ideas to the socials for success team, particularly combining her love of food and fun activities to bring nutrition professionals together.


Christine Sinclair, MA, MS, RD, LDN 

Director State Professional Recruitment Coordinator (SPRC) and Diversity Liaison

Christine currently works as a retail dietitian with Stop & Shop Nutrition Partners, leading health and wellness programs, initiatives and community partnerships for the Greater Boston area. I am excited this year to see how our collective, creative efforts will increase diversity in dietetics. Christine’s hobbies include a variety of activities that bring challenge and excitement. She loves cooking with her family and is looking for more ways to laugh and have more gratitude moments. 

 

Sarita Sharma

Director-Elect State Professional Recruitment Coordinator (SPRC) and Diversity Liaison

I am Clinical Nutrition Manager specializing in clinical management, and medical nutrition therapy; Passionate about empowering individuals through education and support with a strong commitment to patient service and a dedicated work ethic; Leads teams by fostering open communication, encouraging growth, and maintaining a positive attitude; Being a member allows me to collaborate with experts, contribute to community health initiatives, and advocate for the profession, aligning perfectly with my passion for empowering individuals through education and support. 

 

Sue-Ellen Anderson-Haynes, MS, RD, CDCES, LDN, NASM-CPT

Nominating Committee Chair

Sue-Ellen Anderson-Haynes, MS, RD, CDCES, LDN, NASM-CPT is a mother, wife, co-author, health writer, recipe developer, health speaker, holistic plant-based women’s health registered dietitian who has been featured in various media outlets such as PubMed, Fox News, SELF, Insider, and Prevention. She is the founder and CEO of 360Girls&Women® at 360girlsandwomen.com - a holistic health & wellness company for girls and women and the co-founder of cultuRD™ at iamcultuRD.com – a Digital Healthcare App that connects Registered Dietitians to Clients based on cultural alignment. As Nominating Committee Chair, her goal is to support the board and MAND, learn, grow and most importantly, cast a broad net to find strong candidates in the dietetics field within MA. The field is evolving and patients’ needs are evolving and it is important how it is being represented by the academy.

 

Angela DiTucci, RDN, LDN, FAND

Nominating Committee Chair-Elect 

As a member of the Nominating Commitee, I embrace the opportunity in identifying visionary, dedicated and diverse members to utilitize their skills and experience for MAND. Involvement of members to represent those new to the profession and seasoned professionals to elevate and promote our members. I look forward to encouraging and assisting members in furthering our profession.

 

Emily Lounsbury-DeLorie, RDN, LDN

Nominating Committee Member

Emily is a Corporate Dietitian that oversees multiple SNF/Rehab facilities across Massachusetts. As a Nominating Committee Board Member she is excited to learn from the Nominating Committee Team and assist as much as possible to promote the incredible benefits that MAND provides to MA Dietitians. She hopes to help find strong MA RDs to run for MAND elected positions and represent our nutrition community.

 

Catherine Page, MEd, RD, LDN

Public Health Liaison

I am excited to be a part of MAND because I feel that  this is an organization that is not only making a difference for nutrition professionals in Massachusetts, but for the profession as a whole. I am incredibly inspired by the leaders in this group and how they work tirelessly to enhance aspects of our working conditions, support the health of our local communities, and also increase our ability to positively impact the healthcare system. I am excited to work alongside these leaders, to learn from them, and to make meaningful change together!

Public Policy Coordinator 

I am excited to become more involved in the policy side of nutrition as the Public Policy. As PCC, I look forward to educating MAND members about the importance of public policy and I hope to engage more members in supporting the Academy's priorities at the national level. 

 

Vanika Jethwa, RD, LDN

Public Policy Elect 

I am excited to serve as the Public Policy Elect this year and become more involved in policy efforts. I was drawn to this position through past advocacy work in school nutrition but I am excited to utilize these skills in all areas of nutrition and work on all of the Academy's public policy priorities.

Director Nutrition Services Payment Specialist

I am excited to be a part of MAND because I feel that  this is an organization that is not only making a difference for nutrition professionals in Massachusetts, but for the profession as a whole. Christine Weithman, MBA, RD, LDN 

Consumer Protection Coordinator

I’m recently retired and thrilled to support the Board and MAND in this position. I’ve been serving on the Public Policy Committee for the past year. As the CPC, I’ll attend the quarterly Massachusetts Licensure Board meetings and report back to our members and the board on important issues, as they arise. 

 

 

Fernanda Copeland

MDEF Acting President & President-Elect

Fernanda D. Copeland is a medical and patient affairs professional dedicated to elevating the voice of the clinician and patient within drug development.  I'm passionate about advocating for the expansion of the role of the dietitian within healthcare. As the MDEF acting president/president elect I aim to help raise our aspirations healthcare professionals and support future RDs in their journey to registration and to a successful career ahead.

MDEF Scholarships

For 2024, MDEF will be giving out two MDEF scholarships and one MDEF Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) scholarship to deserving nutrition students, each in the amount of $1500. Please pass along to any nutrition students or interns who may be eligible to apply!
